Meet the Team

	Duncan Woodcock (Managing Director) Reid Hamilton began trading on 1st January 1983 and Duncan bought the company in September 1987. "Let me introduce you to the Reid Hamilton Team..."
Commercial Team (Louise Boow, Carrie McIntosh, Eve Bennett, Fiona Barton) Personal Team (Laura Simpson, Sarah Lee, Carla Morris, Carole Ellis (front))
	Jane Woodcock Bsc (Hons) (Company Secretary) A maths graduate and former teacher, Jane joined Duncan in the business in 1988 when the younger of their two sons started at primary school. Jane is responsible for all financial aspects of the company including compliance with Financial Services Authority rules.
	Mark Whiteman (Director) Joined Reid Hamilton from Norwich Union in 2000 and has progressed through the company ranks to become Duncan's second-in-command and a shareholding Director.
	Carol Green (PA to Managing Director) Carol worked for Sage and Watson and joined us in 1994 when Reid Hamilton took that company over. Carol has worked in insurance for many years and now helps to look after our very largest business clients. Strangely enough, Carol used to work in our Queen Square office many years ago, when it was the local branch of Eagle Star Insurance.
	Louise Boow (PA to the Directors) Louise joined us in 2001 and has had a varied career here. She has worked in both personal and commercial insurance, is fully trained as a claims handler and now assists Jane with financial management. She must be our most versatile member of staff!
	Eve Bennett Bsc (Hons) (Commercial Team Leader) Eve joined us in April 2005 and has progressed quickly to her present position. Hugely capable and organised, in addition to overseeing the day to day running of the Commercial Team, Eve will be taking on a client panel and will be out and about when outside visits are needed.
	Carrie McIntosh BA (Commercial Insurance Advisor) Carrie gained a BA at a Scottish Academy before embarking upon an insurance career, firstly with AXA Insurance in 2000. She is experienced in all areas of personal insurance and joined Reid Hamilton in 2004. After two years in our Personal Team she has now transferred to handle commercial business in the new look Commercial Team.
	Fiona Barton (Claims Handler & Commercial Insurance Advisor) After 7 years with AXA Insurance, latterly handling motor and household claims, Fiona joined us in November 2004 to assist Margaret with our claims handling but, now her hours have increased, she has joined the Commercial Team to undertake both insurance and claims work.
	Margaret Rothwell (Claims Controller) After working for a local insurance broker from 1981, Margaret set up her own business in 1986, later merging with another firm. She came to Reid Hamilton in 1999 and has helped countless clients by making the claims process as painless as possible. Vastly experienced, Margaret oversees our claims handling and, as she lives in Preston, works on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.
	Carole Ellis (Personal Team Leader) Vastly experienced, Carole worked for Commercial Union in Lancaster from 1974-1990. When that office closed, she joined a local insurance broker, moving to Reid Hamilton in 1997 to run our personal insurance operation.
	Carla Morris (Senior Personal Insurance Advisor) Carla began her insurance career in Stratford upon Avon in 1972. After a brief spell in Scotland she settled in Lancaster in 1992, joining Reid Hamilton in 1997. She has many years broking experience and we are very lucky to have Carole and Carla as they are probably the most knowledgeable personal insurance advisors in the area.
	Sarah Lee (Personal Clerical Assistant) Sarah originally joined us as a gap year student and was intending to go to university. However, she enjoyed her time with us so much that she decided to stay and is now completing her training in the Personal Team. She is aiming towards Chartered Insurance Institute qualifications.
	Laura Simpson (Clerical Assistant) Laura was born and raised in Fiji but later settled with her family in Lancaster, attending Lancaster Girls Grammar School and sitting her A-Levels this summer. She joined us in September for a gap year until next September when she plans to leave to go to university.
